The LTA Youth Tennis Leaders course is a leadership programme for young people aged 11-18, helping them to develop key skills for life – not just sport!
This course takes place on Sunday, 24th May 2026 between 10am – 2pm.
If you’re aged between 11-18, the programme is a fantastic way to learn new skills both on and off the court. Delivered by LTA Accredited Coaches the Leaders course is designed to develop young people’s leadership skills, that can be applied across roles within tennis, sport or more widely into other aspects of life.
Here are a few key benefits of becoming a leader:
During this course you will complete the compulsory ‘Introduction to Tennis’ module, which covers some on-court drills, communication skills, and an understanding of how to adapt the game for different ages (across LTA youth), and different abilities. Leaders will then also complete the elective component ‘helping at a venue’ which will give you the practical skills for assisting across sessions, supporting other coaches and helping across your club/venue to get more people playing, and enjoying tennis!
