LTA Qualifications

At Court Craft, we’re proud to deliver a full range of LTA Accredited and CIMSPA approved qualifications / development opportunities in tennis and padel. 

Whether you’re just starting out, or looking to advance your coaching or officiating career, our courses cater to every stage of the journey.  

From the Pre LTA Tennis Assistant (find below information about Court Craft’s positive action support towards equality), through to LTA Tennis Assistant (L1), LTA Tennis Instructor (L2) , LTA Tennis Coach (L3) and LTA Padel Instructor (L2) designed to build your skills and confidence on court. 

We also offer Officiating training, such as the LTA Competition Organiser and LTA Referee Courses, perfect for those looking to support and run events at their club or venue.

Pre LTA Tennis Assistant

The Pre LTA Assistant course is for females interested in finding out more about tennis coaching and how to get involved.  Court Craft can also offer this course for other under represented groups.

LTA Tennis Assistant
(Level 1)

This enhanced 2 day qualification is ideal for tennis parents, enthusiasts or keen players looking for the knowledge and skills to support group sessions alongside a lead coach.

LTA Tennis Instructor (Level 2)

This enhanced 5 day qualification is ideal for those looking to build on their tennis coaching qualifications and enables you to lead in the delivery of group coaching.

LTA Tennis Coach
(Level 3)

This is an 11 day qualification and is for those looking to move towards a career in tennis coaching. This course will focus on enhancing your group coaching and also developing the skills required to be an individual coach.

LTA Padel Instructor (Level 2)

This 5 day qualification is ideal for those looking to deliver excellent groups lessons for adults and juniors. The LTA Padel Instructor (L2) is the current entry point to the pathway.

LTA Padel Coach
(Level 3)

This course is currently in development and will be released in due course.

LTA Competition Organiser (non qualification)

This course is designed for people who want to start running competitions at their club and venue. This is a 3 hour online zoom course that runs through everything for running Grade 6 & 7 competitions and ungraded events. A great way to get started.

LTA Referee Course

Tennis and padel referees are responsible for looking after all players at a competition. To become a referee you must complete this 2 day course as well as mentored experience.

Prior to booking, you must have completed the Court Supervisor course, or Competition Organiser course, or have relevant experience in organising competitions.
