As an official LTA Workforce Development Centre, our experienced team brings passion, expertise, and dedication to every tennis, padel, and officiating course we deliver. With years of on-court and coaching experience across the North region, we’re committed to raising the game for players, coaches, and officials alike.
Jo has worked in tennis for over 30 years with 17 years at the LTA in the North Region and an ex international junior tennis player. She is an LTA Senior Tennis Coach (L4), LTA Padel Instructor (L2), LTA Tutor, LTA Youth Schools Tutor, LTA Assessor and LTA Coach Mentor. She has supported national projects for the LTA, including women & girls, inclusion and LTA Youth Padel. Jo has a wealth of experience in tennis & padel.
Angela has worked in tennis for over 20 years and now more recently Padel. She runs a multi-venue coaching business and also manages and part owns a 6 court padel club. She is a LTA Coach Tutor, LTA Youth Schools Tutor, LTA Assessor and LTA Coach Mentor. Angela is an avid padel player and is part of the GB Seniors national padel team.
Leah qualified as a level 3 tennis coach in 2007, before moving to Texas USA to play tennis at university. Since then she has held a number of coaching roles from college tennis in the US, to county coaching and youth tennis in the UK. Leah is a qualified teacher and after several years lecturing in A-level Sociology, she decided to move back into the world of tennis. Currently undertaking her LTA Senior Coach (L4), she is now also excited to be Court Craft’s Administrator.
Louise is head coach for Team GB (Visually Impaired Tennis), technical advisor and coach for Battle Back and continues to work as a consultant delivering on a variety of projects, including writing content for the LTA’s Coach Education department. Louise is an LTA Tutor, LTA Youth Schools Tutor, LTA Coach Mentor and LTA Senior Tennis Coach (L4).
Dave is an LTA Master (L5) level 5 Coach, with over 30 years of coaching across all levels from beginners to performance. An LTA Tutor, LTA Assessor and delivering LTA Assistant (L1) to LTA Coach Level (L3) qualifications, along with a number of CPD’s, short courses and LTA Youth teacher training.
Paul is an LTA Senior Coach (L4) Coach, working at Leeds Beckett University, with the student teams, along with Roundhay Tennis Club as their Head Coach. He is the Yorkshire U18’s County Captain and enjoys working in performance tennis, as well as club level coaching. Paul is an LTA Tutor delivering qualifications and CPD.
Sarah has been in tennis since she was 5 years old representing the county. She got into coaching helping at her local club as a teenager and hasn’t stopped since.
Sarah is an LTA Senior Performance Coach (L4) and LTA Tutor since 2023, with over 25 years experience running her own coaching business, in and around Shropshire.
Paul is an LTA Master (L5) Tennis Coach and been coaching for over 30 years and tutoring for 20. He is the Head Coach at Graves Health and Sports Centre and the County Performance and Coach Development Lead for Derbyshire. Paul delivers LTA Assistant to LTA Coach tennis qualifications, as well as CPD and LTA Youth Schools courses.
Matt currently holds the LTA Senior Performance Coach Coaching Qualification (L4), along with a R1 Referee Qualification. Matt is an LTA Tutor in tennis and refereeing and the Tennis Manager at Tennis World, Middlesbrough. He has a vast amount of coaching, refereeing and tutoring experience.
Chris is an LTA Level 5 Master Performance coach who has spent the last 25 years working within Performance tennis. He has coached 3 National Junior Champions of Great Britain as well as many other players who have gone on to compete at both Regional and National level. Chris is an LTA Tutor qualified delivering LTA qualifications and CPD.
Lucy is an LTA Senior Tennis Coach (L4), LTA Instructor Padel Coach, LTA Tutor and LTA Youth Schools Tutor. Lucy is currently the North Wales County captain for the U12 and U14 girls’ teams. Lucy has been a tutor for over 10 years and has delivered on a wide range on courses for different providers. Lucy’s coaching philosophy is through a person-centred approach and creating learning and challenging environments for players.
